Marbella is preparing to welcome one of its most exciting luxury developments, as St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott International, announces a €500 million beachfront resort in Las Chapas, Marbella East.
Developed by Platinum Estates and Sierra Blanca Estates, the project will combine a five-star hotel with 169 rooms and 151 exclusive luxury residences, creating a new destination for high-end living on the Costa del Sol.
Located on a spectacular beachfront plot of more than 160,000 m², the resort will offer residences with two to five bedrooms, ranging from 150 m² to 1,000 m². Owners will enjoy private residential access alongside the comfort and services of a world-class luxury hotel.
The development will feature several restaurants, an exclusive beach club, wellness facilities, and beautiful outdoor spaces overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Designed to offer both privacy and luxury, the resort will bring a new lifestyle experience to Marbella East.
Construction preparations are expected to begin in 2026, with the hotel scheduled to open in early 2031. The project is also expected to create thousands of jobs during construction and more than 450 permanent positions once completed.
The arrival of St. Regis represents another important milestone for Marbella’s luxury property market. With internationally recognised hospitality brands continuing to invest in the region, the Costa del Sol is strengthening its position as one of Europe’s most desirable destinations for luxury living and real estate investment.
The development is also expected to increase international interest in Marbella East, particularly in the surrounding areas of Las Chapas and Real de Zaragoza.
Official prices and the sales launch date for the residences have not yet been announced.
At MAS Property, we continue to follow the latest luxury developments and exclusive property opportunities across the Costa del Sol, helping our clients discover exceptional homes and investment opportunities in Southern Spain.
